Portfolio Preparation Course, Aged 9 – 17

In our tailor-made Portfolio-preparation course — designed to guide young artists in building a strong, unique body of work.
From initial research and idea development through to the final creation, we support students at every step as they prepare for 11+ art scholarships, GCSE, A-Level, university admissions, or art competitions.

Students will also create a professional presentation of a PowerPoint portfolio and a thoughtfully curated sketchbook.

Our course offers maximum flexibility and encourages creative exploration. Every student will develop their own interpretation of chosen themes, showcasing their individual style and personal artistic voice.

Students are also inspired to draw from a wide range of knowledge areas, helping them expand their creativity beyond traditional boundaries.

Unlock your child’s creative potential and help them build a portfolio that truly reflects their talents, passions, and aspirations.

Portfolio Projects
Throughout the course, projects are centered around experimentation, personal exploration, and problem-solving through the creative process.

The final portfolio will highlight strong observational skills, creative thinking, technical ability in drawing and painting, and — most importantly — a clear sense of identity and personal style.

Areas of Exploration:

  • 3D Design

  • Fashion and Textiles

  • Fine Art

  • Communication Design

Disclaimer:

Please note that students will progress at different paces throughout the course.  For those who may need extra time, we recommend joining additional lessons during the school term break to help complete their portfolio work.

Occasionally, I may also send work home if I feel the student is ready and comfortable working independently.

Students are also welcome to bring along any previous artworks they would like to include in their portfolio. I’d be happy to review them and give them a creative twist to fit seamlessly into the final collection.
